There are many different types of diet that you can try, not only to lose weight but also to detox the your whole system. There is the Lemon detox diet which is endorsed by many celebrities and the lesser known celery water diet. The major problem with any diet is the dependence of one food type throughout; it is very frustrating and boring. You may be tempted to give up but they usually give good results and this is the case with the celery water diet. In most cases a diet should involve you having a fully balanced diet.

Celery is a vegetable that has some rare important nutrients but it is not the most nutritious. It is mainly rich in vitamin C. it has some good dietary fiber, some minerals as well as trace elements. Celery is one of the negative calorie foods. This means the body burns more calories to digest it and it has fewer calories. This means you take in fewer calories as you burn more leading to weight loss. The celery water diet is a good way to lose weight. Being on a diet of water and celery could be an equivalent of fasting.  This is a diet that helps you lose weight but should not be extended over a long period of time. This is because celery and water can not provide all the nutrients that your body needs. You should maintain it for a week or two and then have another diet plan. You can also choose to substitute some meals with celery and water. It is best to substitute your dinner.

Breakfast is the most important meal and you need to pack in some energy giving foods. You can take an opportunity to get all the nutrients during your breakfast and lunch meal. Celery is very ideal for supper because this avoids going to bed with food in your system. You should also drink a lot of water while on this celery water diet. A diet plan that revolves around celery should include other food items for it to make sense. You can also include fruits, vegetables and grain in your meals.
