Getting Frameless Shower Doors
A frameless shower door can add a whole new dimension of style to your home décor. You can get a state-of-the-art, futuristic look for your bathroom just by changing your shower. Best of all, many are easy to install, so you can get the job done yourself instead of hiring someone else to do it.
Dreamline offers a great line of frameless doors including the Aqua Collection’s frameless hinged shower door. This 48 inch by 72 inch door is made of tempered clear glass in clear or frost options with anodized aluminum profiles and frames available in three finishes: brushed nickel, chrome and polished brass. The door is even reversible so that it can be installed on either a left or right wall. This door costs about $350, but that is dependent upon the options you choose.
The Purist frameless pivot shower door has crystal clear glass or frosted glass. These doors can also be installed on a left or right wall depending on your bathroom’s layout. The bright silver finish of this door runs only about $550, but the brushed nickel costs more than $700.
You could also try the less expensive Fluence frameless bypass shower door. Like its counterparts this Eurostyle frameless design has crystal clear tempered glass and a bright polished silver finish. However, this design is made of out-of-plumb installations and a continuous panel for quiet and smooth sliding. The Fluence door costs only around $250.
There are many other brands of frameless shower doors available including American Standard, C.R. Laurence, Lake, Maax, Neptune, Sterling, Tetra and Vigo. Many can be found between $250 and $900, depending on the type of glass, finish and brand. With all of these options, you should be able to find the right set of doors to give your home the look you’ve always wanted.
