There are all kinds of different horse jumping events in different parts of the world and horse jumping is also part of the Olympics games. This is why this game is one of the most popular activities among lovers of horse related hobbies. All kinds of different rules and regulations exist for the different kinds of games and the rules of one game are entirely different from another game of horse jumps. This is why there is a careful consideration required by the rider to go through those rules and regulations of any particular event so they are able to qualify to be in the competition. These rules and regulations include scoring tactics and performance guidelines as well as some kind of limitations for the saddle and other horse related equipment to be used by the horse and the rider. One of the most important considerations of those set of regulations are the limitations of attire for the person riding the horse.

Riding attire is definitely something very important to be considered and while some horse jumping games will require the rider to wear something very conservative, there will be other that will be a little more lenient in terms of attire. It all really depends on the kind of game that you are playing and the attire of the jumping rider is a little bit less formal than the one used by the hunter rider. But they will still require the main items in the attire that include the helmet that has a proper harness. This is a special rider’s helmet which not only gives him or her that look of being a contestant in an equestrian event but also protects their heads in times of accident or fall of any kind. This is why they are a very important aspect of the overall attire of the rider. Boots are another important part of the overall rider attire and long and tall kinds of proper riding boots are a necessity and they are usually worn in black color. Another item that is commonly used by the riders but isn’t exactly necessary are the spurs. Spurs are very useful in guiding the horse and although it is optional to wear it, it can really help the rider at times if he or she is used to it.

The difference of attire in hunter horse jumping and cross country jumping is also something the rider should know and there are different requirements for attire for both these events. Usually it is at the Grand Prix FEI that the very formal attire for riders is used because of tradition.
