How You As A Man Can Support Your Girlfriend’s Insecurities
You as a guy may know this, but at times your girlfriend will probably go through stages of feeling insecure. She may be the most confident woman in the world, sure in her self and intelligent, but all women go through it at some point. Single girls may doubt themselves, wondering how they will get a boyfriend (They may not be sure where they will meet guys), why don’t they have the same hair as their favourite actress, or wondering why they’re the shape they are. If they’ve got a boyfriend (You), they may wonder if you really like them, if you’re being totally honest with them, and if they’re going to achieve what they wan in life.
These feels can often come out during your girlfriend’s time of the month, as emotions are heightened due to hormones flying around everywhere. They may be snappy and more defensive then usual, but that doesn’t mean that you should retaliate and be the same towards them. Instead, you as their boyfriend should help get them through this tough time by being emotionally supportive and there for them. If you was to argue back at her or not do anything to put her insecurities at ease, this could make the situation worse. There’s nothing worse then an issue boiling up that started from next to nothing, especially when it could’ve easily been put right from the start.
Now remember guys, even small things can make your girlfriend feel insecure during these times. So what can you do to help? Well, first of all you can try to be understanding of her. If she’s feeling worried or insecure about, the first thing you should do is listen. If it’s something about you don’t be quick to fly off the handle telling her her claims are outrageous, instead wait till she’s finished then calmly explain to her why what she’s saying isn’t true. It’s also a good idea to let her know how much she means to you, or do something else to put her mind at ease.
You’ve got a very important role to do guys, supporting your girlfriend and making her feel like the princess she is, even with her insecurities.
